The book of KellsThe Book of Kells Exhibition is a must-see on the itinerary of all visitors to Dublin. The Book of Kells is Ireland’s greatest cultural treasure and the world’s most famous medieval manuscript. The 9th-century book is a richly decorated copy of the four Gospels of the life of Jesus Christ. Located in the heart of Dublin City, a walk through the cobbled stones of Trinity College Dublin will bring visitors back to the 18th century, when the magnificent Old Library building was constructed and which displays the Book of Kells. The Jameson DistilleryThe Old Jameson Distillery is the original site where the world-renowned Jameson Irish Whiskey was distilled until 1971. It is now a visitor’s centre that provides guided tours, tutored whiskey tastings, bars, a restaurant, and a gift shop. The distillery opened as an attraction in 1997 and has received between 300,000 and 350,000 visitors per year since! The Jameson Distillery is located just off Smithfield Square in Dublin. A 25-minute walk or 10-minute taxi ride from The Round Room.
